Annihilator is the most successful Canadian heavy metal/thrash band of all time and one of the most influential pioneers of thrash metal worldwide. The band’s success speaks for itself, driven by exceptional live performances and, above all, by Jeff Waters, who takes on the roles of guitarist, vocalist, studio bassist, songwriter, producer, and sound engineer for mixing and mastering—a true one-man band. These two reissues revisit a pivotal period in Annihilator’s history, bringing back to life Criteria for a Black Widow and Carnival Diablos. Spanning from 1999 to 2001, these albums showcase Jeff Waters’ evolution as a songwriter, guitarist, and producer, striking a balance between the intensity of thrash, melody, experimentation, and groove. Each studio album will be reissued with fully remastered sound, pressed on high-quality 180g black vinyl, as well as in Digipak CD edition.
